I love my pets! On this page I'll describe them and their special place in my life.

Bucci

I had a dog when I was young, a pug dog named Bucci.   My Uncle Joe wanted to breed pug dogs, so he invested into a beautiful black pug that he and his wife Margaret had named Martha's Madame Chang.   We all called her Chang, and she was eccentric.    Chang became a proud mother, and our Bucci, a mixed black and fawn pug was her first daughter.   Bucci wasn't as crazy as Chang.    I loved her, but I don't think the feelings were mutual.   She wouldn't let me read.  Bucci chewed up my books, and she would trot over to me and sit upon the newspaper whenever I spread the folios out on the floor.   I miss Bucci.  She was my one and only dog.

This cute pug gif is from the Pug Club of America  http://www.pugs.org .   Many years ago my Aunt Margaret had served that organization's executive body.

When I was 3 years old, my grandfather gave me my first pets: a bowl of guppies.    Daddy had the chore of cleaning the fish bowl, because I was too little.   One day, I fed my fish, and Daddy spilled the contents of the fish bowl into the toilet.  Then I had to say good-bye to the guppies that were on their way to the river to swim with lots of other fish.

Sugar Ray

Sugar Ray is my pet betta.  He is black and teal blue-green in color.  Betta fish must live in isolation, because they are unsociable creatures of the worst sort. Betta are also known as Siamese Fighting Fish. They maim, destroy and eat other tropical fish.
